Oem 18's made by Enkei

I was wondering if our oem sport 18's are made by enkei? I notice that the 09 G37 have the same sport rims, but it says Enkei on it. So are the 07-08 sport rims also made by Enkei?

Enkei is contracted by lots of *** automakers to make factory rims for them. My 2000 Mazda 626 ES-V6 rims were made by Enkei so was my 02 Maxima, I'm sure they are lots of others. It almost seems like Enkei is nothing special anymore like they used to be a long time ago.

^ on the other hand i reckon they are even more so having got OEM rims contracts rather than just 3rd party sales, they are making better quality lightweight product and making a lot of $$, and oem rims that they make are rather nice on most models visually(g37S especially).

My guess is that soon the time will come when the OEM rims will already be so visually appealing and lightweight that the AM wheel sales will start to drop dramatically, leaving companies such as Enkei in good standings.

The current 2010/2011 G Sedan wheels are about the ugliest they've ever made, hopefully it's just an anomoly and the next run of G stock wheels will actually add to the overall look of our cars rather than detract from them

The current coupe wheels look nice however.

Agreed. I wonder how much was Infiniti's doing though. At the very least, I'm sure they approved the design. On the other hand, the base coupe and sport coupe wheels look nice.

That will never happen. Take a look at history, remember when 17" AM were the sheit? Manufacturers caught on and made that standard on lots of their models. What happened next? Everyone wanted AM 18", hmm manufacturers caught on again and here we are with G35/37 with 19" standard.

Still not satisfied customer ore opting for 20/21" AM. This will continue until we see cars with 24" factory rims, watch and see in like 14 yrs or so.

ya 20 i guess is the max from factory for a while on cars like ours since they dont want the truck look and would not want to give the non-modding customers a harsh ride, headache of possible bent rims, more expensive tires ect IMO.

I hear you but don't for one second believe that manufacturers will sit by idley and watch AM wheels get all the glory. And I think 21" is the max for a stock car now. Let me chk my sheit and i will give you a brand/model

Have any of you looked at the new M56? They have 22" wheels on the sport model. So much for them not going bigger than 20" or 21".

Edit: After looking at Infiniti's website, they must have been dealer installed aftermarket wheels I saw as Infiniti only shows 20". Those wheels I saw at the dealership were huge and I was blown away when I read that they were 22". I might call Southwest tomorrow and find out what wheels those were that I saw.

^ ya most dealership slap on oversized AM rims on showroom cars for attracting more customers and offer them for sale as well but the stocker S are 20" on M. Either way who cares, ppl will do what they want to, and i am certain that never will come the time when everyone will have the same preference.
