Well It was time for brakes and I looked around the net and this site and found that the S model sedan has bigger brakes then the Journey which you all already know...
So I wanted to get a little bit more bite from the brakes but I didnt feel like spending boat loads for a big brake kit that I will never use the capabilities of!
So I grabbed a set of Rotors (front and rear), Hawk HPS pads, SSBL, and Ill be throwing some pictures up as well to show the DIY job and everything needed.
Big Brake Kit = $3,000.00 give or take
This set up = $665.00
ALl compliments of R1 concepts.. kudo to them for fast service and pleasant sales personnel! Steve

Interested to see how this turns out. I am in the market for new brakes myself for my 07' S.

That is a really nice setup! Let us know how installing the SS brake lines goes--I may try that myself sometime.

Hmm I have never heard of R1 Concepts the rotors look great. I will have to look more into them when it is time to pick up a new set. I currently have the Hawk HPS pads and I love them, they make a lot more dust them OEM but the braking has improved quite a bit. I plan on picking up the HPS pads again when these eventually wear.
I am currently waiting to grab rims and tokico shocks and I will do a huge DIY budget friendly suspecsion thread which will include.

Any updates? My brakes are squeeling so I will probably need to replace them soon...I'm very interested to see how these brakes work out for you.

cant comment on the steel lines but the R1 rotors are of very superior quality and of 3500 grade steel, have had em for over 30k and they are flawless so far with juddering or vibration unlike the stock that were warped after ~15-17k
