Pulled the trigger on the new wheels. Now time to look at tires, looks like I am going to need a second job at this rate.

I think I will most likely end up going with the Hankook V12 Evo's in 245/35/19. We just might end up with the same look for the summer. lol

Funny enough those where the exact tires I planned to go with as well. Good bang for the buck. Too bad we live on different sides of the country, it would look pretty cool in a photoshoot.

Update:

Just a minor update for you guys. I have to say since I sold my 370Z Rays I of course put on my winter setup until my new wheels come to my door. On my five day update I complained about a lot more road noise. I am starting to think that was due to the OEM Bridgestones primarily. I would of never guessed that my winter setup would be less noisy then the summers. I am sure that the wider wheels also played a part in the noise factor as well.

When it comes to the Tokicos... I have to say I just love these struts for the cost. I would highly recommend that anyone planning on putting on some H&R, Eibach or any other springs on the market give them some consideration. They really do add a lot of stability and comfort to the ride in my opinion. However, I can't really speak for how it feels with only springs because I put them both on at the same time.

Jason, if you decide to take the dive with the HPs maybe you can put some input on the subject.

I don't like it as-is at all. They'd look much better on your car, for sure.

I think you will most likely be first Jason. I am still waiting on my tires and just placed an order for some lugs for the wheels. I don't think I will have them mounted for about two weeks.

Yeah I agree. I can't wait to put them on. I think the color will look great on our PG's.

Wouldn't it be funny if we all go this route, too?

Ah, but my plans are to go back to 18s.

I'm looking at a used set of SSR's right now but may end up with either RP03's or PF01's (Enkei's) and pairing them up with Continental DW's. My target is to shave off at least a further 5lbs. on each corner.

Are you planning on tracking the car? You should also look into 2pc rotors for the akebono's for the extra savings in weight.

I already do But i haven't tracked it in the past few months as tires in 19's can get expensive really fast (i barely got 20k out of the old tires, and that was with only a handful of "slow" days -- and i had to stretch it that far with the chewed-up treads).

Already have the 2pc fronts, i couldn't justify the need for the rears -- they don't save much and the weights have even less impact given that they're closer in to the hub.
