Lowering springs but no drop?!?

So I recently installed a set of Tanabe NF210 springs on my g35x. I followed the instructions found here to the T: https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-bra...-too-pics.html

After all this, my car apparently doesn't look dropped, any ideas why? I have a pretty even drop front to back and avoided the saggy rear by the isolator per the DIY.. I maybe lost .5 to of an inch in fender gap, but was expecting a little more than double that.

What can I check for to see why all 4 sides didn't drop as they should? I already wrote to Tanabe about this and have not heard back, although I know these sedan springs aren't officially released for the "X" yet.

I really don't want to go to the prokit as I don't want to sacrifice ride quality.

I read pretty good reviews about the springs and ride quality, and would just like to get the drop I was expecting or shown in the DIY.

Any ideas besides getting coils or different springs?

how long has it been since you installed them? takes up to 500 miles of driving until they fully settle in.

I put about 150 miles on them.. I did email Tanabe and they said their springs don't settle.. not sure how accurate that is. I guess what frustrates me is the car in the DIY I assume was taken immediately after install and it clearly looks lower.

sorry, my work blocks photobucket, flikr, imageshack, etc., etc.

i had tein h tech springs before and all but 1 spring WOULD NOT settle in. i eventually sold them on craigslist and got coilovers. i would wait a bit bc they might settle more. even w/ my coilovers, they said they would settle after a day of driving. WRONG. took like 500+ miles before they finally settled into their final height.

since you have an X its not going to get any lower than this. My friend dropped his car on these springs and had the droopy bum. he waited about 2000 miles to do anything and they stayed the same.

please dont take any offence to what im about to say.
why does everyone worry about ride quality going to **** after installing the prokit. I dont know if you know this or not but your ride quality stays almost the same and handling improves greatly. if your daily driving the car you wont feel it at all. My car has been dropped on the RWD prokit for almost 30000 miles and to this day I have the same ride quality as the day i picked it up. And if your worried so much about ride quality that your loosing sleep over it you should know that eibach makes springs for the AWD G sedan which drop the car evenly so no more droopy bum.

I'm certainly not saying I am concerned with just the prokit, but really anything has a low drop (ie. H&R).. What I've heard about the prokit is that regular driving is fine, but when you hit a large bump it gets really bouncy as it tries to rebound.. do you not experience that?

How close are you to CT, maybe I'll meet you for a ride

Had them on my 08G37S coupe and i notice the drop right a way and the handling was a plus also. Looking forward to putting them on my 06 coupe.

Maybe its because they lowered the cars on worn out struts and shocks. because thats what controls your rebound...

I love on Long Island and CT is a few hours away. I think coilovers would fix your problem easily.

Get the pro kit. I had H&R's on my X and didn't enjoy the ride. The front bottomed out pretty easily. My struts and shocks were fairly new (10k). After a 2 weeks on H&R's I bought BC's. I don't know if this is just an X thing or if maybe I'm too picky but the BC's made a HUGE difference on ride quality.
