Tire size double check before I place order. thanks.

My wheels should be refinished this week. I m getting the coils hopefully today. I just want to verify the tire size before I ordered them. thanks a million.

wheels are blitz type 03 wheels

18x8 in front with +45 offset
18x9 outback with +45 offset

I will need spacers.
I am going with 245/45 zr18 in front
275/40 zr 18 outback

thanks.

I don't want the vdc to get all screwy. It doesn't tell you how wide the tires are. I don't want to rub a hole in my fender area. thanks

EDITED: thanks soundmike

Hmmm... wait, your first post said 245/45, but your post above this shows 245/40. The first one is fine, but that second one is a bit too short IMHO. Up to 3% error is considered fine in the industry, 3.8 is a bit too much. Any reason for the change of mind on this one?

Your wheels are relatively conservative both in width and offsets, i doubt you'll rub anywhere, especially after the drop.

For comparison, i have +38 9.5" wheels with 255/45 all around. There's a lot of space towards the fender and suspension side. The only thing that rubs with my camber settings is a very slight one between the wheels inner lip and a small area of the front Eibach sways at full right lock.

Your wheels will tuck in slightly more, but will also have more space on the suspension components side as they are a bit narrower.

Just thinking options.....Why the 17" wheel with a skinny tire in front? Why not a 225/50 on an 18" wheel to match the 275/40-18, or an even wider 235/45-18 with a slightly narrower 265/40-18 in the rear?

.

^ I think he was comparing his OEM set-up with the aftermarket he's planning on getting.

235/45 and 265/40 is a little small for his application. It will work, but there's less difference with the other sizes. Also, again, just me, but 225 on an 8" wide wheel is a little stretched.

boostd, for spacers, i suggest you get the drop dialed in and wheels on first then measure how much of a spacer you'll need to flush it out to taste.

that's just a tire size calculator..... to see how close it is to the stock set up. i am going with 245 and 275 in the rears.

I am going to have to drop it first. I have no idea what it will look like. I will let it settle for a day or two, take measurements and go from there. stupid question i guess. I am gonna go for the flush look. I am trying to flush out my rx7 too.

damn this forum. I saw all the hellaflush wheels

Ahh, gottcha. I thought those were the pairs. I definitely like the wider set.
