BC CO Rear Dampening Adjustment (RWD)
I have been riding around on the BC CO's for a while now and love the way they feel. However, I was a rear passenger in my car the other day and noticed that the rears are set way to soft and would to adjust them.
I know that since the dampening setting is on top of the CO I need to take off the shock absorber but my main question is if I can take off the sock absorber without removing the springs.
Can someone please advice me on the easiest way to get to the dampening settings? I know there is a guide on here to drill a hole through the backseat frame but I don't want to go this route. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can take the damper off without removing the spring, but it's easier if you loosen the spring bucket. To do just the dampers, remove the bolts/nuts, loosen the locks on the damper then turn it to shorten, this will ease removal, but take note where you were to begin with so you can put it back at the same length.
If you just want to attach the damper adjustments at the top without removing the shocks, drill a much larger hole at the top behind the seats (which you have to remove, to access this location), you can then attach the extensions to the adjustment **** that way. The larger the hole, the easier this is to do.

I'm in the same boat with my Ksport Coilovers. I saw the DIY on drilling the hole , so I went ahead and removed my back seats and started drilling. To my surprise after I got the hole made there was a soft gray or black rubber piece . there was some lettering on it that said "pvcl" and "looka" or something like that. I tried my best to take a picture through the hole. I didn't wanna start drilling through the rubber without knowing what I was doing, so I put it all back together. Any info would be appreciated.

Also, i don't know with the Ksport, but with the BC's, that hole you drilled is just enough for the cable to go through. To attach the BC adjustment cables, the hole has to be bigger so the whole **** that connects to the ***** on the shock can fit through with enough space to pass an allen wrench through and tighten it down.
Lastly, for those doing this, BC's include rather short cables for the sedan, but you can extend this using speedometer cables. I have a how-to here - http://gshack.org/?p=208. If i had to do this again, i would get thicker cables. The longer they are, the thicker it needs to be so there's no slack when turning.

@Soundmike I didn't wanna start out with a huge hole. Good thing I didn't cuz I woulda ripped the rubber. Oh geeez my mind is in the gutter
so I guess to be safe I should remove my rear coil and back seat, then drill from the bottom up ? unless someone else can confirm what the rubber is.
