Pics would be great, planning on running staggered but would love to see 9.5 on all fours to see what it looks like. I'm just afraid the fronts would be too flush...

 

Flush is all about offsets, not wheel width. Chinkchoy has 19x8.5 +25 on all 4 corners and it looks really good.

guess no one's running a squared 9.5 set up. I am wondering how 19x9.5 +35 would look. According to my trusty calculator it would stick out 3mm more than Chinky's set up but it's hard to put that into perspective without seeing any pics of what it would actually look like plus he's on coils and that probably contributes to the flush look.

 

3mm really isn't anything, it'll essentially look the same. i would show you pics of my 19x9.5 square setup but its not +35, and apparently you need to see EXACTLY that.

If you're that concerned about 3 mm, you can have a wheel shop shave 3 mm off the back of the mounting surface. If you're lowered on springs, a +35 would fit. At stock height it might look like it pokes a little. Unfortunately, you might not be able to see pics of the exact setup you want and you have to take a little gamble. But seriously, 3 mm will be virtually unnoticeable. If you look through the aftermarket wheels compilation and lowered database stickies, you might be able to find a staggered setup that is the equivalent of the square setup you want (ie. 19x8.5 +22 F, 19x9.5 +35 R). We're trying to help you out as much as possible.

 

^ I've searched and found a bunch pretty close so I guess I'll take what I can get. I wasn't really so concerned about the 3mm bc I know that won't amount to much of a noticeable difference. I guess I did a poor job of hinting to how the ride height affected the flushness of the look and how it can potentially push out the wheel. I'm more concerned about the drop on the cars since a lot of these aggressive and flush set ups I'm looking at are also on coils and Eibachs and that can push out the wheel/tire. I'm dropped on 370z springs so not quite as far as Eibachs. The contour of our car allows for a wide set up in the back which I like, just don't want my fronts to stick out too far. Hopefully that makes sense...just not famililar with how much the ride height affects the look.

 

drivethefive, he's right, 3mm isn't much at all. For an idea of size, on my screen at least, the size of the smiley in your sig is exactly 3mm wide.

Anyhow, i'm dropped on coils, similar to an Eibach drop, just a notch higher so i clear all the dips and bumps encountered on a daily basis. All else being equal and not taking into account camber adjustments, a drop will almost always tuck your wheels in at the top.

The poke people usually refer to is measured by where the wheel/tire meets the fender arch, not how far the part that touches the ground sticks away from the body panels.

With that in mind, you could theoretically have the same amount of poke in these two scenarios:

- No drop, wheels at minimum camber
- Drop, wheels with lots of camber
