PB Blaster is magical...rotors came right off after I sprayed. So, I was able to replace both the front and rear rotors and pads with ones from performance brakes.com (I got the slotted/dimpled set)

I have a couple of questions:

1. What kind of grease should I use on the caliper pins?
2. Is there a significant break in period for new rotors? It seems when I apply the brakes from speeds > 30mph, the steering wheel shakes a lot (is this brake judder)?

The rotors were originally painted all black, but the paint is slowly wearing off to reveal the silver rotors (as expected) Can I expect the 'judder' to go away?

Thanks

GB

1) Brake parts grease. It comes in a canister with a giant paintbrush on the inside of the lid. I don't think it runs more than $10 for a container at AutoZone or Advance.

2) There's a process for properly bedding in brakes to make sure the pad material transfers evenly to the new rotor surface. Sounds like you didn't do it, and may have excessive pad transfer on your rotors. New rotors shouldn't judder or shimmy at all...
