new boots / mounts needed for kyb gr-2 on 08x?

Hi All -

Installing kyb gr-2 / excel-gs (and eibach prokits / an spc rear kit,) next week.

My car is an 08x, with 71k miles. It's generally in extremely clean shape.

Should I buy, just in case, new boots / mounts for the shocks/struts? If so, where should I get these? Should I go with OEM parts?

(I'd hate to have the shop tear everything down, only to tell me I need new boots / they don't have any.)

TYVM!

I doubt you need them. Seems like a pretty low miles and mid-life G. Maybe at 120k miles or 10 years but I personally wouldnt.

Get new boots and mounting bearings. You'll be kicking yourself next year when you need them. The labor will be the same as the istall. The parts are mad By KYB and you can get them at Rockauto.com amoung other places.
