How low can you go with an X?

If I were to drop down to no wheel gap like to the point where only a credit card would fit, would I have any problems with an X? I looked under the car and the only real issue I can see being is the plastic guard under the engine. Even with an Eibach drop the guard is only a few inches off the ground. Some insight would be appreciated.

A 1 1/2 inch drop will be nice. You will be ok. Your tires won't last long as you would like it after that.

How long do you think tires would last at that drop height? I will have square setup so I can rotate but I'm probably not going to use camber kits so just going to zero out the toe. Also, would It be better it to buy good tires or buy cheaper tires?

Well if you can flip you tires so the camber can ware on the other side you could get a little more life out of your tires.

You definitely want a camber kit for 1.5" drop. Or get ready to change tires every 15k.

I understand I will get more tire wear and 15-20k miles from a set seems pretty good for me. But should I buy nicer tires or cheaper tires?

15k-20k miles for a set of tires is really terrible, fyi. If the car is a daily driver, that may mean a new set every year. Look at the wear rating on tirerack.com (the UTQG number). The higher the number, the slower they will wear. I have a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports that have a 300 UTQG. They run about $150 a tire, and I love them.

Again, I highly recommend buying a set of camber arms. SPC makes good ones, and you will make up your investment in ONE year of not having to replace your unnecessarily worn tires, not to mention your car will be happier and will handle better not having excessive negative camber.
