will this shifter work on the 2005 G35model?
Hello,
Quick question, will this shifter work on the 2005 G35model? I have a G35 and tried to put on this shifter but the button is too hard when pressing it? I removed the inner blue piece (white in your picture) as it was too big to fit inside the shift **** assymbly and tried applying electrical tape, but still the button is stiff when pressing...any tips?
I spoke with the dealer and they told me i need to replace the whole shifter assymbly (what haters!). They told me this b/c I cut the black rod to lower the shfiter.
Should i just go back to the original shifter or any tips to make this one work?
please help,
David

OH MY LORD.
So i thought i was incredible and could do it all and followed what you did and lowered my shifter with the M45 **** ....
all i have to say is....... HOLY CRAP!!
i have never ever ever taken up anything so difficult in my entire life the cutting part easy, the grinding sanding part easy.... getting that white piece trimmed so the **** button functions properly IMPOSSIBLE.
after a whole day of trial and error and endless fitting i got it pretty close to perfect. it looks amazing feels amazing but NOT WORTH THE WORK!!!
for those out there thinking of doing this... do NOT ! stay away!!! just do the M45 **** and call it a day!!
