oh man, my bad. I looked at the picture carefully and I figured out that I was wrong. It was the reflection of the Infiniti emblem on the trunk lip that makes it looks like a camera on it. LOL

My concern is the bottom edge where it touches the trunk. The very front leading edge.
There appears to be gaps between the spoiler and the trunk lid.
Is it less noticable in person?
Ohhhh...
Yes it is absolutely less noticeable in person.
I can't quite figure that pic out, especial right at the end;
it must be shadows or something

It actually sits very nicely along the trunk.

I'm waiting for someone to mount one, using only holes drilled behind the chrome finish plate location to see if fitment is acceptable.

I don't mind drilling holes behind the finish plate, but there's something about drilling holes on the trunk lid that has me upset. I know it's a permanent install, but I can get past it mentally.
Scott, I really can't see tape pulling the outer ends down tight enough onto the lid.
I know what you mean about drilling.....
The way I look at it is;
I'd rather do a good careful job myself than have someone else slap it on.

Maybe I'll wait until I see one in person.
If I love it, I'll do it.

Problem is, I'm not drilling holes for anything I'm not 100% sold on.

Scott, these are the Push Clips that go in the end holes. You can see where they will slide onto the spoiler then when you install it and push down on the spoiler ends, then these clips snap into the drilled holes. There isalso some double sided tape on the spoiler. Note the rubber sealing gasket to seal the hole. All holes through the trunk have sealing washers to seal them

Sorry for diggin up an old thread..

but anyone know if you can install the spoiler w/o drilling the 2 holes on the sides? It already comes with 3M double sided tape to hold down the spoiler, plus there are other mounting points where the chrome piece used to sit in order to screw down the spoiler.

I just don't think it is absolutely necessary to drill the extra holes on the sides. Can anyone confirm this?

I believe the consensus was that the extra holes were needed as the sides would pop up/rise if they weren't used. Also, many said that the spoiler didn't sit flush, again necessitating the use of the side holes.
