I was wondering about this. Can you refer me to a where I can find this in writing from a factory source? Thanks.

This was the easiest DIY ever...I am mechanically challenged and even I pulled it off. Bought a little fluid transfer pump from Advance Auto and it worked great.

Thanks Mike!

and also...you use ATF for power steering fluid? I have generic power steering fluid in my garage that will work won't it?

Sorry for the bump but would this work for transmission fluid somewhat? I know you would have more trouble getting it out (I'm thinking tube down the dipstick) and yes you would have to use a LOT more fluid to ensure you get most of it changed but I feel like it would be SO much easier. I dunno.

Also I used a brake bleeder bottle and a syringe to syphon the old fluid out of the reservoir. The syringe is only needed to start the process. It is a bit slow but leaves virtually no mess.
graph literally means nothing, not account for the old fluid removed in the beginning. You start with a higher percentage.

True enough, but that post was over 5 years old.
