exhaust tips

So i am just going to install some exhaust tips to make it look nicer from the back. i dont care about the performance/sound of an actual exhaust system, so the question I have for you guys is...what size is the inlet for the 2007+g35s sedan exhaust's? If anyone knows i'd appreciate it, it would make purchasing my exhaust tip much easier! Also is this a simple mod? Just screw the old one off, and screw the new tips on? Thanks in advance!

One of mine came off when I back into a cement slab(with a backup camera). Not sure you want to remove them that way though I love the oval shaped tips, VERY NICE

A guy on the forum did exactly that - think his ID is Sedanman07, or something like that. He removed the stock tips (think he actually cut them off), and replaced them with bolt-on tips he liked better.

There is a chrome shroud over the stock exhaust exit. You'd have to cut the end of the miffler off and weld something back onto the remaining pipe section. It should be very apparent on your car.

just some info. I backed into a rock, bent the tip. The dealer installed a new tip. I know they did not weld a thing.

Yep, good memory. Here is his original thread about the exhaust tips, but unfortunately the pictures no longer work. On a side note, he hasn't posted since October........too bad, I enjoyed his posts here in the 07+ Sedan section.
