OK, the problem seems to be the tranny and engine trying to "learn" or adapting to your driving style. My issues went away in a couple of days, normal and smooth now. Had it checked out...nothing abnormal at all.

 

Interestingly, per my previous post my G has always done this. But at 17k miles, at lower throttle, the shift is now so smooth that sometimes I have to look down and make sure it has actually shifted. 3 - 4 can be felt, but is still smooth.

At full throttle it still bangs in as needed tho
