Help with cleaning intakes...

Hello everyone. I have an '08 sedan and i have the stillen dual intake (not longtube), and it has come time that the filters need to be cleaned as i am starting to be robbed of gas mileage. This is the first car i have put an intake on, and im not too familiar with how to clean them properly... can someone give me some advice? much appreciated.

Buy a K&N cone air intake cleaner kit at any auto parts shop. There is instruction how to clean air filter on the kit.

Ditto but I want to add one important thing. DO NOT overoil the filter.

K&N filter cleaning kit.
spray on cleaner, let sit for 20 minutes, rinse well from inside of cone outwards making deposits leave the same way they came, use low pressure rinse, don't spray hard into it, let dry naturally (in the sun, not with a hairdryer), oil it (I bought a little spray bottle at the dollar store and put the oil in there so I can spray it evenly over the filter material rather than squeezing it on unevenly with the bottle they give you).

Reinstall and let it rip!
