Cold Air Intake Question - Newbie

I searched Cold Air Intakes and could not find what I was looking for. I am in the process of leasing a 2008 G35xS and am thinking of installing a CAI. What is the performance benefit of using a CAI on a G? Is it just to make the engine sound more aggressive? I used a Mopar CAI on the HEMI in my Chrysler 300C. I could not tell any difference in performance, but the sound from it was awesome! It had a loud low hardcore sound to it and it cost a hell of a lot less than a performance exhaust system. I am assunming the CAI on a G will make the V6 sound louder as well. I know this is a hard question to answer in writing, but what does the V6 in the G sound like with a CAI? Does it resemble the sound of a V8? I don't want it to sound like a loud go cart. Thanks.

I thought I read that with the Injen, you have to modify other surrounding components such as the washer fluid reservoir in order to get it to fit.
