yeah they gonna do it for 210 + tax. well I'm sure if my O2 sensors die or if my cats fail or if my engine blows ups because of my cats then it would void my warranty, if they can't prove that the cats caused the problem then i still got it.

The only things that you have to worry about is the rust!! spray WD40 to all bolt and the O2. the hardest part is to take off the top bolt and the O2
be sure to floow this Stillen

you may need to torch the O2 and the top bolt.

I had mine installed over the weekend. It was such a btch!! I helped the speed shop I went to uninstall the stock cats, the top bolt was stripped and we had to plasma weld it out. A 50$ quote wound up being 135, but it was worth it. I have to check my exhaust for leaks though because it is pretty raspy and sounds like there is a leak somewhere.

I'm going to have infiniti install my springs tomorrow, so I might have them look at the leak tomorrow while they are under there. Stillen shipped the anti-foulers today so I should have them fairly soon.

Stillen will ship you out non-foulers if you ask for them, my CEL came on right away after the install.

Does anyone know if you have to have a special tool to remove the o2 sensors? The speedshop I went to had a nifty little wrench that fit right over the o2 sensors.. Anyone else have this or know where I could get it and how much?

Good luck all.

Okay Just got back from the dealership with the cats installed.

This is what i think so far,
sound wise, there is a little gain in sound, not much, not like a a g35 coupe, it's closer not it's not the same sound, or as loud. My friend was like it's apparent that is' deeper (a little) and that when you step on it a little higher pitched. But the engine with the intakes is still way louder then the exhaust.

They weigh less than half the stock cats if you're into weight saving.

As for power, i can tell that there is a difference. Butt dyno said yes.

Side note - There is a like a grinding or hissing sound or something, my friend said once you change exhausts it's like that his 335i does it so my friends m3 did it to before he got the gtr. Does yours do it earth0?

I'll talk about this more later, I'm tired and hungry hahaahah.

Overall I'm happy with it, wish it gave more sound!

Yes and so i went in with the service manager and talked to the tech, and was like Oh you need me to take off my intakes, and he was like nahh it's cool i can get to the bolts this other way. And i told him to be careful etc, and he was like yeah i'll be extra careful not to break the sensors. Just install these higher flowing cats right? and I was like yes. Lol he was like cool I got it. And the service manager was like okay you need a loaner? Lol.

Yeah, you'll need a special O2 sensor socket with a slot in the side of it for the wire / connector to pass through. I got mine at Auotzone for less than $10 and I've used it on 3 different cars now (they also sell a wrench version that basically includes the handle, but it is more expensive).

Glad you got them installed without any issues, Csquared. Now you need to change your signature.

Guess I need to give Andy a call and find out where mine are. LOL

dealership would never give u ish about installing parts...especially with the way business is....installing parts is easy cash.....and then if your car voids warranty from the part....not their fault...but they might get lucky and get more cash out of ur visit

question...

.......so now i'm just enjoying the intoxicating new sound my exhaust makes
I am having the same problem with my CEL, I installed the HFC's and as soon as I started the car the CEL came on.

Do you know how much time it took the dealer to replace the sensor in the exhaust manifold? My dealer basically told me to F off since they didnt do the work. soooo .. My aftermarket repair shop told me to buy the sensor and they would install it but I told them they have to meet me half way with the labor since I didnt break the sensor. From everything that I read on here that the O2 sensors are super super sensitive.

I am just looking for some info on how long it would take them to do all this.

Any info would be much appreciated.

thanks!

Steve

well the biggest problem you're going to face is the cost of one of these sensors they are like 180 bucks for one.
