I read that some people put the first gen coupe mid pipe on their first gen sedan to make it sound like a coupe. Is it possible to take the second gen coupe mid pipe and put it on the second gen sedan to get the coupe sound?

 

short answer... No.
BTW same was true for 1st gen (been there done that)
It made a nice improvement, but in no way did it produce the tone of the coupe.
The 1st gen coupe sound is main due to the muffler not the resonator.

Yes, but reading a review on the new G37S Sedan review it says the new exhaust has the coupish sound to it when pushed or downshifting which they seem to lke, so that might be something to check out...
