2007 G35x automatic transmission problem?
I actually haven't made it to the dealership yet I just havent had any time lately. I still plan on doing this re flash at some point. I'm still waiting on my R2C's so i should probably get this done before I slap on my intakes.
im at the dealership right now. the ecu reflash is just throttle sensitivity, not sure if it has anything to do with shifting.
but they're reflashing and im gunna be the guinea pig here in the east coast. wish me luck, hope the shudder will disappear

what was the result of this reflash? I'm considering just bringing my car in to my mechanic and having him diagnose the issue. Then I'll just bring the results to Infiniti and make them replace either the torque converter or transmission.
dohturdima, did the ECU update get rid of the shuddering at 40mph, if you had it to begin with? Thats the only reason i'm considering getting it done really. It also seems to shift at weird points but I've been told that if i reset my ECU after i put in my new intakes, and then go ***** to the walls for a while it will re-learn my driving. I bought this car 6 months ago and it was driven by a woman in California.
ok so from my experiences so far:
there is no big shudder around ~40mph. it's semi gone for me. of course when changing gears manually you will feel the gears shift. other than that, i dont get a strong boom anymore.

I wonder if the shudder went away temporarily due to the reflash. When i reflashed my car it felt like it got a bit better and then a little bit worse again. Any update since Wednesday?
I've recently bought a used '07 G35X (built 05/07). I haven't noticed the 40mph sudder until now . My shudder seems slight - compared to what has been described here, but it's there nonethless! The throttle sensitivity TSB has been applied in 08.
I've installed the Black Betty 2nd Gen grounding kit, and it's has DEFINETLY smoothed out the shift (as well the manumatic 2nd-3rd).
Should i print out the shudder TSB, and push for the tranny temp sensor replacement?

I'm having a similar problem with my 08 G35x ~65000 miles. I feel an abrupt stutter/shudder in the drivetrain under the conditions most people describe, but it's very brief (less than a second) and very noticeable. Is this what you guys experience or is it a more prolonged continuous shudder that goes away after a gear change for example?
The problem is getting more frequent now (1-2 times per week), whereas I used to notice it once or twice a year when I bought the car in 2010.
I was going to flush all the fluids per the Infiniti maintenance schedule and see if I had a transmission problem. But, I hope this re-flash solves the problem.
Thanks again for all the input on this.
The re-flash & fluid flush just masks the problem. It never really goes away.
I'd suggest doing both anyway if you haven't yet.
Both will help, but don't think that it'll be a cure-all.
For me, adding shudder-fix with new fluid has been the most effective way of dealing with this.
