Service Engine soon light
So i just install my injen cold air intake and my service engine soon light come up. I was wonder if there is a way to turn off that light or if there is anything wrong with my car after installing the intake.
+1 reset ECU? by disconnect Negative Battery or this!!
Reset your ECU.
Turn on the ignition to on position (do not turn on the engine)
Wait ONLY 3 seconds. (This is the most critical step. For me, I started counting the time as soon as I turn the car on ignition position which you press the start button twice without depressing the break pedal).
Push and let go of gas pedal all the way 5 times within 5 seconds.
Wait 7 seconds.
Floor gas pedal all the way for 10 seconds at which time the CEL would blink.
Release the gas pedal all the way.
Immediately floor and hold gas pedal all the way for 10 more seconds.
The CEL should blink at a faster interval by now. Release the gas pedal.
You are done.

does the length of time of the battery being disconnected really matter? is there a difference between 15 mins and 30 mins?

Read post#149 and tell me what you think. It's look like he's blaming the HFC
but we have no issue at all...,Do you?
mine never came on, and my battery wasn't disconnected nor was my ecu reset. why would you need to reset the ecu anyways? you're not changing anything electrical, no REAL changes are happening... just (arguably)better airflow.
i'm betting your problem is related to something OTHER than the cai.

like i said, you don't throw a CEL from an intake install unless you messed something else up. resetting your ecu will just make it forget what it saw....then throw another CEL because you didn't fix the actual problem.
OP: just relax and look at everything you would have touched. if the car is stumbling, you probably didn't hook something back up to the intake tubes.
