STILLEN G35 Sedan Gen 3 Intake Released

To not drown out the previous discussion surrounding the G37 Sedan Gen 3 Intake, we have released the G35 Sedan version.

http://blog.stillen.com/2009/01/stil...take-released/

This was dyno tested on G35driver member 'heyitsalex'.. thanks Alex for making your car available, we hope you're enjoying the intake.

I installed mine Sunday and drove home, about 70 miles in light rain. Had no issues. They do sound goood but the install is a pain in the a*s.

Josh. I am having issues with the drivers side tube rubbing against the fender while in reverse. I know over time this will be an issue with the lightweight aluminum you guys use. Any idea's on this? what i was using wont work for this application.

Contact me directly via email, the instructions for the G35 are slightly different from the G37, and I'll bet dollars to donuts they sent you the G37 instructions, instead of waiting for the G35 specific instructions. josh@stillen_dot_com

Sorry about that, that's why we like to have everything dialed in and shipping before we release something, but I know some of the sales guys get anxious here when we have an exciting product.

Just to confirm.. did you order a G37 Sedan kit hoping it would just bolt up, or did you order a G35 Sedan kit? I want to make sure there isn't any confusion..

yea 15whp only above 6500 rpm. so its only gonna be noticeable once you hit 6500 rpm, and it all ends at the rev limit of 7600. doesnt seem like this is a big deal. yea the number is high, but the power band is a little disappointing. i guess wen ur accelerating on the highway and u go that high in the rev range in like 3rd gear, you'll notice a difference, but if ur not on the highway in at least 3rd gear, i doubt you'll notice anything, and if u are that high in 3rd gear, then your going too fast anyway lol.

I can't speak for the G35's, but I can speak for the G37 with similar dyno results in being higher at the end of the RPM band.

You'll notice that the car seems to fall off at high revs, and this intake allows it to breathe at those high RPM's, which is definitely noticeable when driving, especially just before the car (or you in the case of M/T) shifts.

This dyno is also with a stock motor, modifications will also continue to aid in the additional high-RPM performance. Just my $0.02 from having driven a couple of Gen 3 equipped cars.

I ordered the g35 kit, but you are right they did send me the g37 instructions. I did call and talk to the only salesmen working on Sat. and his only advice was "i know the holes for the g35 have to be alot bigger".

I will contact you via email to discuss the rest of this. Better yet I will call you Tuesday morning to discuss.

Thanks
