are u guys saying that we can reset our ECUs either by pedal method or unplugging method ? as simple as that ?

are you saying that we don't have to buy a chip anymore and refalsh it with an ECU tuning dealer ?

OH MY GOD !
What a revolution !

Hopefully this thing is on order by Monday.
PP does take a while, but it should be worth it. Would be glad to hear of your own experience with the intake

Nice. We both drive PG's, too. LOL.

Go ahead and install it, shouldn't take you more than 30 altogether. It was harder taking out the airbox (once you take off all the screws, just pull the whole box up) than putting the intake together.

I thought i already responded to that... guess not.

Anyway, yes, most Nissan's (even the one i had from '01) have ECU's that can be reset either way.

The Auto up feature is disabled once the battery is unhooked for a while and requires resetting. Info is in the manual. Roll the window down, and then roll it up, holding the switchin the "Up" position for approx 5 seconds. Then roll it down doing the same thing... done.
You need to do it for each window, assuming all your windows have the auto-up feature

I unplug... I'm not very good with my dancing feet.
The pedal method is quicker, once you learn how to get it right. That's what the techs most likely use.
The method of unhooking the negative battery cable takes 10-15 minutes, which is a lifetime in the service dept.

I've read that the ECU reset is not necessary with installing an intake, so I plan on installing mine without the reset to see what I get.

Went with Chrome

I like the look of black chrome but that's not an option on these.
The engine bay needed something shiny... this should fit the bill
Front strut bar next...

^^^ There won't be much shiny going on after the thing is installed, maybe just a little bit By the way, i think you should reset the ECU after installing the intake or you're likely to get dismayed the first few miles like i did.

Glover997, i prefer the pedal method but only because i won't have to deal all the memory settings again (radio, seat, windows). But the battery method is certainly easy to do. I don't know what other differences there are between methods.
