Guess I was misinformed, I'd heard that selling HFC's in CA. was now illegal. My muffler guy here in SC had all his cats recalled shortly after the beginning of the year because they didn't qualify with the new CA. standards, stricter EPA rules.

Beez reminded me: Kinetix will give you a full refund (w/o shipping, if bought from them, not sure if that count from a vendor too) for their product if you get a CEL. That's almost a deal sealer for me.

See I thought so too, but all the vendors I spoke too are still willing to sell them. FI was the only one who didn't give me a straight answer and told me to order from THMotorsports, who is based out in Chicago.

Even with that said, there is no way to guarantee that the CEL light will not come on, but we will allow you to return the Hfc's for a refund with no re-stocking fee if you do get a CEL. As far as the braces that you see on some of our competitors Hfc's, we choose not to use them to ensure that you will not have any fitment problems no matter which aftermarket exhaust or headers you may choose to add to your vehicle. There is no difference in the design of the cats. Also, our Hfc's come with a lifetime warranty that even covers the catalyst inside.

Thank you,

Does all the hfc's come with a lifetime warranty? Kinetix is seems to be a legit competitor. I wonder why no one has jumped on these yet.

From the email up top, it says refund. So, now I'm not sure. But it still seems like a good deal. I think to make sure I'll email them back with those questions.

The website says the same thing, full refund w/o shipping costs if you get a CEL.

Wonder why the other two companies don't match that policy?

Nice. I also read on their website that the o2 sensors are in the same place as it is on the oem cats. Is it different for the others? Ya, that full refund policy is pretty much a deal closer for me too. Now, just gotta convince the wifey.

Here's the response I got:

All of our products include a lifetime warranty no matter who you purchase them from. As far as the refund for a CEL, you would have to purchase them direct from us and you would receive a full refund less what ever shipping was. I don't believe any of my distributors would refund you if you purchase from them so please purchase them direct from me or our website.

Thank you,

Jason

Any updates? Anyone install this on a V36 yet? Curious to see what the outcomes have been. Thanks
