Kinetix HFC...quality?
Kinetix HFC...quality?
Not sure if this has been posted already, but I guess Kinetix just released HFC's that will fit our car.

I know some coupes run Kinetix hfc's, but how's the quality? How do these rank with FI, Berks, or Stillen? Also, Kinetix claims that these will not throw a CEL. Price is pretty cheap.

They were a first whatever brand but they really stepped up in past few years.
I would say these are the best HFC for our cars. Kinetix is better quality than FI and BERK.
It's also street legal and doesnt throw off the SES light.
I know 2 guys that have had these on their coupe and they said they love it. One of the guys was boosted as well.
He sold it to some guy who was N/A and he hasnt had problems with them either.
So they must be good.

The only thing that bothers me is that all the other hfc's has some sort of hinge that bolts onto the chassis of the car and kinetix doesn't. Would this be an issue later on down the road?
Here's the email I got back from Kinetix:
We have been manufacturing the 07+ high flow cats for almost a year now and have not had a single customer inform us of a CEL. Even with that said, there is no way to guarantee that the CEL light will not come on, but we will allow you to return the Hfc's for a refund with no re-stocking fee if you do get a CEL. As far as the braces that you see on some of our competitors Hfc's, we choose not to use them to ensure that you will not have any fitment problems no matter which aftermarket exhaust or headers you may choose to add to your vehicle. There is no difference in the design of the cats. Also, our Hfc's come with a lifetime warranty that even covers the catalyst inside.
Thank you,
Jason

Does all the hfc's come with a lifetime warranty? Kinetix is seems to be a legit competitor. I wonder why no one has jumped on these yet.

Do you have any evidence to support that, or is that your personal opinion? I'm asking because I'm still looking into HFC's and am still up in the air between the brands.
Its more of personal experience.
FI has given too much trouble with their CEL light going off. Even dual anti-fouler s didnt solve the problem. FI was a bit more raspy as well.
As for BERK, the welds seem very thin to me and not as loud as i want them to be.
I would choose BERK over FI though, and Kinetix over BERK.
All the guys I have seen with Kinetix LOVEEEEE them.
It's expensive, not raspy, and no CEL problems. Plus i love it sounds, although i've only herd it on the G35 coupe. I hope these sound the same.
This is just my personal opinion. We just have to see who gets these first.
But the guy mentions people have them. Dont see them on the forum

You mean inexpensive, right? I believe they're the cheapest out of the group. I'm leaning towards these, but I heard through the grapevine that invidia might release some as well.
I've never herd Invidia hfc, so this is going to be interesting.
I got quoted under $400 for the Kinetix. Both FI and Berk list for over $500.
