Alright thats great Do you have stock exhaust or aftermarket? It'll be great if you post sound clips and your impressions of the HFC after install.

True but the 1st gen guys swear by them. So I don't think you're in bad company. They have been working on G35s and similar cars for quite sometime so they have an idea of what they are doing lol. Best of luck with this.

I went with the Berk's and have never regretted my decision. They do not throw the CEL, and have zero rasp. Berk's reputation and the factory style mounting bracket was the main reason for choosing the Berk over the others. I would not buy an HFC that doesn't have these brackets... I've heard too many horror stories from guys that have broken header / manifold bolts, studs, and even welds because the connection bolts are having to support the entire weight of the front of the exhaust. The factory put that bracket there for a reason. Just my $.02.

i was gona get the berk, but after hearing the sound in person from my buddies' car(stock exhaust beside HFC), it is too raspy.....thats why i wanna test the kinetix.

Hmmm. That's odd. I've had the Berks on my car for almost a year and I don't have any rasp whatsoever... I've also heard the Berks on several other cars without any rasp. Make sure when you are listening to them they are broken in and warm... If they are new or cold, then they may be a little louder than once they break in.

+1

I had Berks HFC + HR Y pipe when I ran my stock exhaust on my G last year. Didn't have any rasp either...

Now the exhaust gas hiss on deceleration that's another story. It comes no matter which HFC or test pipes you run on our stock exhaust. Its part of the territory.

^ Yeah I've heard that hiss on almost every G... It happens under vaccum, not under throttle. so it's definitely not related to rasp.

You could always have an exhaust shop weld some brackets on for you... shouldn't be too big of a deal.. or, just go with the Berks.

berk you can get it for around 380 - brand new from few vendors on driver- plus berk has that extra bracket for the additional support
