Sorry guys for bumping a 2 years ago thread, but i have the kinetix hfc and so far i haven't ran into any problems with it. No CEL for sure and no rasp. Only problem i ran into was the heat shield. The left hfc kept hitting the heat shield and actually burnt a hole into the heat shield. I would highly recommend getting it wrapped if you have the heat shield problem.

Are they honoring the warranty for Forced Induction cars on the cats? and how is the rasp with these? I wish they added a secondary resonator like the new FI ones.

The welds on my Kinetix HFCs snapped on me within months. I went to cheap test pipes from there, each of those lasted a bit longer before the welds on those things broke on me, and they were under a hundred to replace.

It has always been illegal to sell aftermarket cats that don't meet CARB in CA. They've said the same thing about high flow cats and test pipes more than 5 years ago, nobody cared, why should that change now? The law states it is illegal fro street cars to have these products, why can't you have it for a track only car?

You do know that kinetix hfcs comes with lifetime warranty as long as you have the receipt when you purchase the hfcs from kinetix

I remember them telling me I'm just screwed. Even if they had a real lifetime warranty on the HFCs, that means my car is going to be down for about a month, maybe more while I uninstall and send back the HFCs, then wait for them to receive the items, inspect them, decide it's a fault in the product, and then ship some new HFCs out. Great! Come down to it, it's cheaper to buy something else. And it's even cheaper and just better to buy something better to begin with.

I would say these are the best HFC for our cars. Kinetix is better quality than FI and BERK.
It's also street legal and doesnt throw off the SES light.
I know 2 guys that have had these on their coupe and they said they love it. One of the guys was boosted as well.
He sold it to some guy who was N/A and he hasnt had problems with them either.
So they must be good.
Would the hfc's in the link provided by beezy fit an 2004 coupe? i followed the link and its says 2007 +

I have never had problems with my kinetic v+ plenum in a year and a half, but it just feels cheap. I have conversed with too many people who have had either a v+ or ssv break/blow/crack apart on them.

I installed them about 2 months ago, after the stealership tried to charge me $1300 to change 1 clogged cat. The only problem ive noticed so far is vibration when I am at a red light. But I havent had time to get it checked out. Its probably not enough back pressure to run smoothly.

As far as the sound, I hate loud exhaust. These sound like the exhaust note when u first start the car, a little rasp. But i can only hear it when i step on it. I dont notice any sound when I am not acclerating.

I have the factory mufflers also
