G35 30K Service at CarZone Auto Repair
Hey guys, just had my car serviced at CarZone Auto Repair in Van Nuys (Certified Nissan-Infiniti Master Mechanics). The guys there are great and do excellent work. The following service was performed:
* Replace Motor Oil with Mobil1 5W-30
* Radiator flush and replace with OEM Coolant
* Replace Rear Differential oil with Valvoline 75W-90
* They even checked the A/T Fluid and showed me how clean it was and still good for atleast another 15K miles, even though the owners manual reccomends replacement at 30K miles.
Total including parts & labor $137!!
They finished all the work in about 45 minutes, quick and convenient. They got my business for sure.

Agreed Austin, my coolant was clean as well so therefore I wont be servicing that item again for as long as I own the vehicle. The rear differential fluid on the other hand was really dirty and the drain plug had a lot of shavings and grease on the magnet portion of it. The mechanic explained that when they assemble the gears in the differential they utilize grease, etc and dont both to flush the differential and just simply fill it with the oil. Hence the first drain will always look really dirty.

Pwebb, I had replaced my Air Filter(s) at my previous oil change and the cabin filter I plan on replacing soon. The wiper blades work fine and the wheels on my car are staggered therefore cannot be rotated. Balancing is not always necessary unless you feel vibration in the wheel upon applying the brakes.

I just went to the dealership and they said that they use a different type of ATF that you cant get from the market. Is that true? Cause the dealership charge a arm and a leg to change whereas i can get it changed from somewhere else at half the price. Also the rear differential, should it be replaced at 30k cause i havent done mine and im at 46k. Im gonna wait on the coolant until 60k.
