It wouldn't be a problem if I could figure out way to include it here

Basically, the dyno results are showing that I'm getting about a maximum of 8hp increase from 5000-7000rpm with ~ 4ft-lbs of torque increase in the same rpm range. Of course dyno results are heavily depending on test condition. The numbers were the best out of 4 run.

no access to a scanner?

what do the low end numbers look like? Did you lose hp at lower rpms?

General question

hey guys i have an 07 g35 sedan and i was wondering whether to go with either the stillen gen 2 intake or the injen, only thing is i live in van, BC, rains quite a bit...and i know the injen sits fairly low..im not sure if getting the injen would be a bad idea due to all the rain, and does anybody know roughly how much hp each give? i already have the stillen exhaust.

Do i need to get a down pipe or cat-back along with Stillen Gen 2 (Long Tube Dual Intake) to get higher performance? I wanna have decent bolt-ons (not noisy) that gives me good performance to take on a Z370 and G37 Sedan, which both currently overtake me either from start or rolling.

I also found this R2C Cold Air Intake which looks really good but is more expensive than Stillen Gen 2 (long tube). Does anybody recommend this for better performance than Stillen Gen 2?

still gen 3 is all I've seen independant dyno results for that have gains.. Anything else seems like a gamble to me. I'd also only do it after having installed a hi-flow exhaust, then tune.

I would recommend a stillen cat back exhaust. I have this the on my car. On it own it can add ~10-15 hp at the wheels.
However, since this post I made significant changes to the car.
I now have a gtm stage 2 twin turbo kit installed. Currently at 7psi boost on a stock engine it makes ~400rwhp@6500 rprm
With cat. With test pipes it makes 445 rwhp at same rpm.

That's an impressive claim. Got any proof of that?

A more freer flowing exhaust can improve engine horsepower. How much will depend from vehicle to vehicle. The only way to verify any claim is to make the improvements yourself and take your car to the dyno. If you serious about improving a vehicles performance then get off the fence and make them otherwise don't bother

SO basically, you have absolutely nothing to back up your assertion about the Stillen cat back exhaust. Specifically, that "On it own it can add ~10-15 hp at the wheels".

I guess I could suggest that you heed your own advise, with that being:
If you're serious about make a bold claim about a component that can improve your vehicles performance, then you should get off the fence and back it up, otherwise don't bother.

I purchased and personally installed my Stillen Gen 3's. I love 'em. The install really isn't that painful, and it helps you learn about your car. If you're truly interested in maximizing performance (and sound too) for each individual area of your car starting with the intake, the Gen 3's are the way to go.

Dyno Sheet with G35 Twin Turbo

Although not directly related to this thread.

I thought I'd post the dyno results for my car with a Twin Turbo 7psi manual boost setup wiith test pipes to show the horsepower capability the 2008 G35 actually has.

Unzip the file to see the Dyno bitmap.
