Why is everyone selling their R2C's??

Even on My350z, myg37 and on this board, it seems like people are getting rid of their R2C's left and right?!? I've been waiting for mine for 5 weeks on backorder but I am now sincerely considering cancelling my order. Can anyone with some feedback chime in on this one?

Everytime i search for R2C i come up with the same out dated threads, along with peoples intakes for sale! Are there really torque losses felt at lower rpm's? I've heard the sound is intoxicating, fine big deal, but $400 bucks for intakes is crazy just for sound.

Whats a different mod that is in the same ballpark of an R2C that will actually have some positive benefits? HFC's? Not to jump around, but which HFC will give me a deep tone, not a ricey fart??

if im not wrong bat is the only one selling his intakes on this forum and not sure about others but that is expected, though we all have same cars mods react slightly differently to every car thus some get a few hp gain and others dont.

I think it's kinda ugly but my hood is closed most of the time anyway... Other than that.. I heard that the oil in most oil filled filters could screw ur MAF sensor up,. I had a jwt intake and oiled filter for 4years and never had a problem, but I hear the r2c filter has better flow.. Sounds aight..

It actually looks very nice and clean on the 2nd gen sedans with the nice black chrome tubes and nicely formed white filters and shields!

How does yours look?

I have the 1st gen coupe with a jwt/ztube/replacement r2c filter.. IMO .. O think the whole r2c intake is really fugly.. Even on the 2nd gen g's. I mean anything is better than stock, I just think that any Intake on the market looks better.. I just like the dry filter that has been proven to flow better than any filter put there..

Some people sell their intakes soon after installing them because they don't offer much in gains, but they sometimes cause the driver to drive more aggressively as they drive to hear them sing.
I know I'm a little more spirited in my driving style since installing the Injens.

^^ haha.. when i got the mrev2 and spacer installed.. it was instant power and growl.. i found myself driving way more aggressive just to hear the growl... after about a month though.. either i got used to it.. or the growl just wasn't as throaty... maybe another ecu reset would help..?

Yeah i can certianly see myself stomping on the gas a bit more if these things really hum like everyone says they do. It wasn't just on here, I went on myg37 and two people had for sale ads up so I starting second guessing these intakes.

Anyone still having the rattling problem in their dash? I can see that driving me insane in the near future if I have that problem haha.

I have to say I am a big fan of the R2C intake. I installed mine about 6months or so ago and I did quite a bit of research prior to my purchase. Personally, I think it is one of the best looking intake kits available for our G. This is what first got me looking into the kit then I kept reading about how good the filter design was and the quality of the product. If you are looking for pure power mode I think there are better ways to spend it then an intake. However, I feel that the intake gave me a little extra kick in the upper rpms but I can't speak about any losses in the lower rpms as I have not gone to get a dyno. With that being said I can tell you I have felt no loss what so ever in power. Removing and cleaning the filter is also very easy.
I am a very happy customer even if I do find myself driving a little more spirited to hear that sound.

I don't have R2C but I would buy intakes again for my G anyday bc of the sound....any gains or loses from intakes will be so minimal the only thing that really comes down to is quality, looks, and sound...good luck
