these are great tubes guys. In all honesty, probably exactly the same as Cobb hoses. i have had both. No difference in performance but the HPS seems a bit more flexible...and includes nice t-bolt clamps. Get the HPS if you dont want intakes.

well to be honest, i am going back to R2C. I miss the look and sound of those things. I feel that now that I have the stillen exhaust, i need some R2Cs to open it up a little. This answers your last question. For intakes, R2C over anything. That said, HPS/Cobb tubes are the best budget intake mod in my opinion. It keeps the car OEM looking and sounding, and does improve throttle response (not to say that R2C doesnt). HPS/Cobb just dont really provide aesthetics or sound. So for me, choice was mostly based on looks and sound rather than performance. I also think that HPS/Cobb may be a little better at deflecting heat.

The only intakes I havent tried are the stillen gen 3 and injen CAI. No desire at all to try injen. Stillen loses me at cutting the core and rubbing issues. Takeda CAI I imagine are very similar to SG3. Gains are probably there, but mostly in the high end. The 1 time a month I might need the higher rpm power isnt worth it to me.

yes, i agree. Stock boxes are better than any intake and you notice it after putting the boxes back in. Adding HPS/Cobb and even better. i just miss the look of intakes in my engine bay and the growl they produce.
