AMSOIL ATF drain fill

Hi guys,

I know there's TONS of threads about transmission fluid changes etc...
But i couldn't find one that mentions anything about mixing AMSOIL synthetic ATF with Matic-J. I plan on doing a drain and fill only.

Anyone here use AMSOIL ATF?

I know I should be using Matic-J or Matic-S for that matter...but i've already bought a case of AMSOIIL ATF and would like to use it.

Any side effects after mixing AMSOIL and Matic-J? (I think there's matic-j in my '07 G35x that is being used).

Please don't flame..i did search..and read 99% of the threads... I did see BythBay mention something on this... but i can't find that thread anymore...

Any input would be much appreciated . thanks guys!

I really wanted to flush my tranny with AMSOIL.
After doing a ton of reading, it looked superior to any ATF out there.
However, keep in mind that if you ever need warranty work for tranny issues, you will be denied - since the dealer can easily tell that you don't have J or S in there.
Also, if you search for ATF on AMSOIL's site by car, you'll see that they will reccommned using J or S instead.

Having read that, i went to the dealer with a case (11QTs) of Matic S and got a nice full flush

Get a flush, the tranny holds about 11QTs of ATF. If you do a drain/fill, you only change 5QTs at the most!

hmmm... i should still have warranty left on my '07. how much did that flush cost? did you buy the matic-s from ssomewhere else?

I guess it looks like i have to store my AMSOIL ATF until warranty's up.. lol.

uhhh...the fluid is prolly the cheapest here:

You might as well return the AMSOIL, fluids have shelf life.

The labor for the flush is around $90
