Sound similar to the FI set-up, if you like the way that sounds, but I'm gonna try adding another set of resonators to try and quiet it down a bit.

FYI... If you're looking for a good price on the Tanabe axle back, check with Rick at Riverside Infiniti... he had by far the best price when I bought mine and he also had it in stock!
Thanks for the info, I'm trying to pick up a used Tanabe in my area hopefully sometime next week. How was the install?

Install for the axle back is a piece of cake. Only takes about 20 minutes tops. All you need is a 12 mm (may be a 14mm... been so long I can't remember) wrench to loosen the 2 exhuast clamps. Once the clamps are removed, you can just pull the mufflers off the rubber exhaust hangers. Just refit the new Tanabe mufflers and reattach the 2 clamps... easy stuff!

Glad to help. Let us know how it goes... and if you end up having to buy a new exhaust, make sure to tell Rick at Riverside Infiniti that I sent you over.

Received my Tanabe today. Nice design and fit and finish. Installation was smooth. The sound is very mellow. Of course I only have about 5 miles on it as of now. Im sure once I make my weekly trip back and forth to work the next 5 days it will get deeper. I wouldnt suggest ordering from Assaultech, though. it took me 4 days to get a tracking number out of them and they never answer pms.

The exhaust will actually mellow out even more once it breaks in. I added a set of Bery HFC's to mine and that really brought out the nice deep rumble sound in the Tanabe.
