G was running high on RPM?
So I was driving home from work today, while on the freeway, I could hear the car was running louder than usual. I looked around, the RPM was at 3.3K while going 60mph,and at 3.5K @ 65 mph. I made sure that I was in 5th(AT), and I was. I started to think is that normal? Or am I just over-thinking cause I was driving a 2010 G loaner with 7 speed the week before which the rpm are usually lower....
I took the exit and came to a stop light, the car was idling at about 1.8K and I knew something was wrong. I turned the car off and turn it back on really quick, nothing changed. It was 97 degree out and I remember reading something about idling issue with the G when it's hot out.
Came home, pulled into the garage, turned the car off, and the needle was stuck at 1K!!!!

I waited for a couple mins before turning it on again and it finally stays at about 700 rpm idling.
What is the problem? the heat? I just did the throttle sensitivity TSB last week, does it has anything to do with it? Anyone has previous experience? My wife usually drives the G, so I want to make sure she will be okay driving it everyday. Thank you in advance.

sounds like the needle is grabbing the gauge face....but you said the car sounds louder. as in more rpms. so that leans back towards an engine or tansmission issue.
personally to me it sounds like your riding in fourth gear.
