The HR has hydraulic lifters, or at least according to the FSM.

If you're running you're car hard all the time racing against other G's in Kent WA, better have more than a good oil ;.)

I'm wondering if the service rep that spoke to the OP was thinking of the VHR engine and the ester oil issue. I have heard service reps comment that dino or ester are better for those engines than synthetics.
