FI + AWS = Bad Idea?

Ive been working 12 hours days 6 days a week for a while to try and get money for hopefully FI for my G35x 2007. I have an uncle whos done alot of mods to his car and has 500 awhp but continues to blow his transfer case.

Will I do the same with mine if i decided on a GTM TT kit or a Stillen Supercharge kit? Has anyone FI their AWD Sedan?

*sorry for the title its supposed to be AWD not AWS noob mistake >_<

The harder you work for it the more you'll cherish it when you get it... now the AWD has already been supercharged on the previous Gens, i remember one guy who got HKS and is still running strong even after 36+k 4+years(ill try to search for it) and then i also saw one that used a Stillen supercharger on the 2nd gen AWD G on here.

So its doable and has been done and the 1st gen guys who have had em have not really complained about reliability issues from what i remember. But depending on how you drive and take care of the car, more power usually adds more problems.

I thought you meant all wheel steering, . I have an 04 sedan with an STS rearmount turbo kit and it probably has about 15k miles on it with no problems. Super reliable and actually pretty good gas mileage for these cars (50/50 city and highway-20mpg). I wouldn't be worried about it to much unless you start to head towards 400 HP and more importantly for the trans and AWD system, 350 lb ft of torque. If you want 500 awhp then get ready to build everything and spend a ton of money.

i know there are alot of differences from the 04-06 gen 1 and the 07-08 gen 2 g35's (HR vs DE). And im trying to find a good kit for a reasonable price and hopefully get around 550hp mark without alot of rebuilding to the car. I think trans and transfer case are different im not sure

Very true, but don't leave out the part about not expecting to ever see half of that amount back if you go to sell it later.
