Question about ARK grip install

Whats up! Just got done installing my ARK on my X with my HFC. It sounds unbelievable compared to my invidia. But strangely not as loud as everyone says. Anyway, its sounds amazing except for at 2500 RPM there is a squeaky noise. Not a rasp or drone or hiss.. more like an un-oiled belt if you know what I mean. Could this be my HFC? A small exhaust leak? I will check it out tomorrow, maybe bring it somewhere with a lift. And I will post a vid. If Its coming from my HFC, I will sell them and get ART pipes (do they make them for the x yet?) or resonated GTM test pipes. Thanks!

FWIW there was a chirping/squeaking sound that was coming from my passenger side muffler. Traced the problem to the hanger bracket (thanks to Gio aka glex25) that was rubbing up against the muffler "hook" not sure what the technical name of the part is but where the muffler hangs from. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow. Sound disappeared when I put a little padding in between the metal bracket and the muffler hook thing.

Not sure if this is the problem you're experiencing but figured it was worth posting up.

Yeah once the exhausted heated up it would move back about half an inch which caused the rubbing, the sound was happening even in park and reverse from the vibrations caused by the exhaust.

I keep coming up with new things it could be. here are my theories.

1- pin hole leak
2- too small of a gasket between cats and exhuast
3- I think we put the x pipe section upside down (the brace is facing up not down)
4- a hanger is lose or rubbing

My brace is facing down towards the ground but I'm not sure if they are all welded the same way. The difference on our version should be on the passenger side to accommodate for the transfer case here's a pic

Yeah but on the one i have both sides were extended before the x and then the pipe after the resenators was shortend to get around it. I beed to flip that part over but thats not causing the whistle.. lucky it didnt do that on your car at all rite?

^+1 on sound clips and flipping the x-pipe!

i think that x-pipe is whats causing the whistle, i think it only fits on one way...? unless you twisted the bendy part...? if you look at the bolt patterns on both sides on lefizzet's picture, they are tilted a little upwards on the inner area...

i hear a whistling sound in the video, is that what your talking about? if it is, then i definitely did not have the whistle. it could be from the HFC. where do u think its coming from? assuming you double check all the bolts, gaskets, piping. i tried to label everything to make it easy.

i was confuse also which side the Y pipe should be, if the brace was suppose to be up or down. but since i had it up, thats the way i labeled it and it worked for my car.
