i wish someone would attempt a front end swap. just for aesthetic purposes i mean. not the complete engine just the panels, headlights, etc. i wonder how hard a swap would be. some honda fronts swap very easily. it'd be great if this were the case with the G series.

zomorg your what if situation actually happened to me. few years ago. im sure most of the older users remeber.
long story short engine was damaged not covered under warranty needed a new one wanted to upgrade to a new 3.7 engine instead of my 3.5 since it was my money out of pocket anyway. dealer said it was not possible because a lot more things needed to be changed out than just the engine.
(the dealer could of jumped on this and said ok lets charge this guy and extra $$$ amount and itl be done but for whatever reason it did not.) the engine alone dealer installed was $14,000.

I have seen blue slates and it looked awesome however it was about 3k for it. To me not worth a little difference in the front, everyone thinks i have a G37 anyways but Wow Suby01 Im sorry to hear that. Yea only thing to go was my tranny because holman infiniti bashed it up hardcore ( i have it in another thread) but anyway yea i was wondering if the 5 AT would work with the VQ37HR

Technically, it should be, since they were standard on the G37 coupe in '08.

I think you should do the conversion. It looks better in every way. People think i have a G37 and i hate to correct them saying i have a G35. Even the cop wrote G37 on my ticket. Found that funny. But really think you should go for the G37 look.

G37 engine into 07 G35 harness swap 6sp. Trans

To go through that much effort, might as well put the titan VK56 in Cost around 9k? Think of that built with twin turbo!
I happen to get a vq37vhr with 100k on it and I found a 6sp. Man. Trans at the wrecking yard. I also got a dash and wiring harness out of a 08 g37 now in at the point where a color diagram of wiring for both the 07 g35 and the 08 G37 so I can hook up the wiring to make this car run. I have the ECU from the 37 and the VVL control box and the BCU but in not a genius . So I don't know much about the g37 but figuring it out as I go. I ordered some keys and fobs and gonna try to get a key made. Is the numbers on the ECU the numbers to make the key? I don't think the key guys around here want to mess with my g35 turned 37. Does anybody know how I can find color wiring schematics for both the 35 and ,37? And the other question is ,Is there a easy way to get a key fob programmed to my now G37?

35 into 37? In doing it now

Just curious what people thought or just let the mod bug fly and get a built engine for future fun.
I found a G37 wrecked at the wrecking yard so I got a '08 or an '09 G37 motor and I found a '08 manual 6-speed transmission to go in it and I took the wiring harness out of the '08 G37 with the ECU the the other box that controls the VVEL and the BCM or BCU and now I'm to the point where I've got the wire and harness in but I'm not exactly sure about hooking the wires up to the doors that got cut and I blew off my passenger side airbag by touching the wrong wires that hurt. Now I'm waiting for my key fobs to come in I don't have a key for it yet but I'm going to try to get one made and I guess I'll try to get somebody to take the security issue out of my ECU and hopefully I can figure out how to get it to start I bought a manual online for the G37 08 and it doesn't give you a color wiring diagram for anything so without a color wiring diagram I'm just asking to get beat up by these airbags and probably burn things up so if anybody's got a color wiring diagram for a g 37 and a '07 G35 it must be appreciated but yeah I'm doing the swap I almost got it there
