Low RPM trans slipping?

I read somewhere that the issue is caused from the "electronically controlled coupler" in the T case assembly. Pulling the fuse cuts power to this coupler and will render the car RWD but there will be no shuddering under hard acceleration, low speed tight cornering, or part throttle low gear take offs. Someone with hands on experience with the AWD system chime in.

I saw a lot of conversation in that thread, thought maybe some of the information you needed might be in there.

Thank you for the info, he refers to it as a front clutch solenoid in the link you sent me. Regardless, I have to find a schematic and a part # to see if it can be replaced separately. The t case is about 450 shipped (used) which is not so bad for a guaranteed easy fix.

I just noticed a slight hesitation on my 07 X sedan when leaving from a standstil
l at around 2500 rpm

Check your MAF sensor, I mean clean it with MAF sensor cleaner, unplugged; after you unplug the battery. Press the brake pedal for 10 seconds when you have the battery disconnected too.

^^ FYI, he's got a 1st gen, and you've got a 2nd gen, so you've got two MAFs to clean, not one.
