Force Induction system for 2007 sport sedan?

Hello Everyone,

I am not currently in the market for force induction but I was pretty curious. I have read about Terryc and his experience with GTM motorsports and their installation of a twin turbo setup. I was just wondering if GTM is the only game in town or are there any other new products from other companies? Looking for something reliable and installed and tuned by a professional if the time ever comes. GTM seems like the place to go to, but I looked on their website and their last trademark was in 2009. I am sure they are still in business but I didn't want to call them to waste their time, so hoping you guys could answer that question for me. Thank you.

Well, I did scour through the force induction section for 2007-2008 sedan but there doesn't seem to be a lot of people who have a turbo or supercharger setup.

The stillen supercharger seems interesting but I am under the impression that you have to get their hold to accommodate the supercharger.

I currently have been running a GTM SC for about 2 years now (24k miles), and it has been mostly a good experience. The bad experiences came from a shop that did a bad install. Whether it be Supercharger or Turbo, I feel that GTM offers the best forced induction options for our cars. If you have any specific questions let me know.

GTM has a nice setup. I never had a problem with their TT kit or with support from GTM. But like others have said .. there are other players in the market now.

Fast Intentions also has a nice TT kit now.

I also have the GTM SC on my G. Been installed for over 2-1/2 years and over 25K miles and so far everything has performed flawlessly. I did have an issue with the tranny, but the dealer attributed that to a bad valve body assembly and repaired it under warranty. If you live in SoCal then I would definitely go with one of the GTM kits and have them do the work.

I was not able to see a SC kit when I checked their websites. I like the idea of a SC versus a turbo setup. If you don't mind the asking, how much did you spend on the kit, install and supporting mods? And if there were supporting mods, could you please list them? And how much of a power increase did the SC give you?

Here's a link to the basic kit on GTM's web-site. I believe it is listed for the 370Z, but the G kits are basically the same with just slightly different piping and IC mounts.

Here' a link to the full kit with extra oil cooler, etc specifically for the G. The pics shown there are of my car.

Also, here's a nice thread that has some nice install pics and dyno charts.

To answer the rest of your questions. What I paid isn't really relative since I was the first one to get this kit and pricing hadn't been established yet, plus I got a really good deal for being the guinea pig.

As for supporting mods, I had them do the tranny valve body upgrade, plus both the tranny and engine oil cooler at the same time. I also had all the FMIC coated black to be more stealth. I already had full exhaust with HFC's, various suspension mods, full chassis bracing, and BBK's with 2-Pc Rotors. Only other thing I considered was either a HKS Camp II or Blitz system for monitoring engine vitals, but I still plan to go that in the future.

Power increase was almost 180 rwhp, so over 200 hp gain at the flywheel. Which puts it just a little over the 500 HP that the kit advertises.
