Removed Stock Mufflers

After reading thru the threads and looking for best option on getting a more throaty exhaust sound, I went by my local muffler shop this morning and had the stock mufflers removed. We have an 08 G35X, is all stock dual exhaust and was very quiet.
He installed pipe from the cut with some second hand tips and boy what a difference. Nice and throaty on acceleration but not real aggressive once you are at speed.
If you drive like my wife the sound is pretty tame, I am a bit more aggressive so the sound is a bit more intense getting thru the gearbox. If it becomes a problem for her we will install some small straight thru mufflers. I will try and post a vid by tomorrow.

This....^....isn't anything new! Had you done a Search using "Muffler Delete" it's been discussed in several threads over the previous millennium!

Thanks Gary, appreciate the comment. Just a retired sailor trying something new to me. Don't really spend that much time bouncing around forums. Too much living to do.

wait....they cut the old ones off?

They unbolt. You just paid a guy to hack your factory exhaust in which you can't go back easily.

I removed mine and had a shop bend some pipe that clamps on. I can put my mufflers back on in 10 minutes or less.

Nice, thanks for posting up. I did this as well last year and loved it. Although I modified my setup a bit since then to kill the drone and get the low-end back. I'll try and start a thread and post up pictures/video of what exactly I did.
