Where to look for clutch cylinder leak
Hi all,
In relation to my thread about an empty clutch reservoir, I have now added fluid and it seems to be driving without losing more. But I'm a little worried with a 600mi round-trip drive coming up. Where can I look for signs of a slow or not so slow leak (i.e. one I can't see in the reservoir but might hurt us on a long drive)? I don't see anything under the reservoir which I assume is the clutch master cylinder, so how about the slave?
I can't say I've ever been under the car, will I need to drop a panel or can I see it?
Thanks.

Bring your car in to your dealership.. There's a clutch slave cylinder recall on it.
My '12 6MT with 24k miles just experienced this while driving. I approached a stop light and pressed down my clutch to shift into neutral and guess what! The clutch pedal never returned.... Called Infiniti roadside assistance, got a free tow and they fixed it on the spot.
