hey guys! So my current setup for exhaust is art pipes, magnaflow 11385 in place of resonators and a muffler delete. It sounds amazing and I always get compliments for it. I personally think it can be a deeper tone. And don’t bash me but I love it when you let off the pedal and it pops. But currently it rarely does it and I think it’s the magnaflows.
I am thinking about vibrant resonators 1790. But I have absolutely no idea what size piping I should get and how long I should get. 12’ or 18’. Anyone wanna help me out? Just want a deeper tone. If it gets louder it’s okay but not too crazy loud. Thanks!

Update, I installed the 1792 vibrant resonators. 12’ and 2.5in and outlet. They had to warp the weld so I’m gussing stock exhaust is 2.25?Anyways, I’m getting some rasp now, is it because of the warping of the piping from 2.25 to 2.5, or is it because the 12’’in resonator is too small? My exhaust did get louder than before. But the rasp is there but not too muchCan I like wrap it or something to reduce rasp?

No the rasp is probably caused by turbulence created inside the pipe where they reduced the diameter. You could unbolt it and physically look and feel inside to see if there's welding slag protrusions but it's not going to make much of a difference, reductions in diameter are going to create harsh sounds like that. Typically you only want to INCREASE the diameter of an exhaust system as it flows from manifold to tailpipe.

Yeah I'm thinking of ordering the FI exhaust as well but need to verify it DOES fit on a RAS coupe. The FI site says it does, Z1 says it does not...

All the $$ and time you've wasted removing one thing and adding another you could have had a complete aftermarket system without rasp! The compliments you're hearing are coming from people that like loud noisy exhaust systems, the same ones that like "Fart Cannons!" You'll never stop the rasp using factory exhaust!

I feel like more volume would be nice, but you will eliminate rasp with a full cbe. Just go with no resonators for serious volume. Tone is super deep and nice

Okay, to be more specific. I DONT have rasp. My exhaust sounds amazing(it actually does. It has a nice deep tone) I was just asking what sizing of the resonators I should get so I DONT GET rasp. Lol

A little confused. If you don't have rasp, don't change anything. In your second post, you said you do have rasp...

Abel I'm still on the fence about ART pipes or FI HFC's, besides your HR ART pipes won't fit my rev-up :P

Oh yea, good point. Also, i would go ART, too many good reviews. Unless emissions is strict in your area, then you may need the HFC's.

Well Washington State doesn't have emissions checks in my area but SOME counties do so... I should probably just go HFC even though I really don't want to. It's probably just a matter of time until it goes into effect for the entire state.
