Question Wrong oil filter?

Has anyone ever seen this oil filter on a VQ35HR engine?

It is a Nipparts/Jakoparts J1311019, i think it is the wrong oil filter for the car.

I am going to change the oil+ filter in a few months, so i would like to order the right filter.
Does someone have the right part number for me, i prefer Bosch oil filters, but OEM or other aftermarket will work too.

Never heard of nipparts before. Ah, I see you're from the netherlands. Probably not sold in the U.S.
Purolator filters are pretty common. I've used em on all my cars. More importantly is just keeping up with the oil changes. With every 5k miles any filter should do.

It's a generic Nissan oil filter, I wouldn't worry about it too much just don't run past your oil change interval.

Generics are VERY common and there's usually not much difference between them and any other low end budget filter like what you get from Jiffy-Dudes or Wal-bro's.

If you drive the engine hard just get the oil changed early and don't wait for the complete interval.

I have the wrong filter since I use one for an M45. Doesn't take long to look up assuming the source, http://ows-cdn.tecdoc.net/nipparts/home.jsp?server=3&time=31/1/2018-1926#46d47a1b63aeddff0b51b61645e69d72, is correct.

Looks longer than the one i use, i use mobil one, its a rather small looking filter, but so far had no issues. I change oil roughly every 10,000 miles although the filter says you can go up to 24,000kms.

Nissan/Infiniti basically only has 2 oil filters for their engines since around early 2000s.
The 65F and the 9E000. Only difference is the 9E000 is about 3/4" longer, they have the same diameter and thread pitch. The VQ engines call for the smaller 65F filter, and typically the V8 engines call for the 9E filter.

That said, I run the 9E filter on my cars anyway because I just want more filter ability and the larger surface area effectively raises the RPM where the bypass opens. Old habit I guess, but 3rd Infiniti with over 250k miles on it.

Thanks for your reply's
I tried to compare some numbers, this is what i got so far.

Small filter
15208-65F00 - Jakoparts J1311018 - Diameter: 65mm, Height 71mm
15208-65F00 - Bosch F 026 407 001 - Diameter: 70mm, Height 71mm

Bigger filter
15208-9E000 - Jakoparts J1311019 - Diameter: 65mm, Height 85mm
15208-9E000 - Bosch 0 986 452 041 - Diameter: 70mm, Height 87mm

I have no idea why the Jakoparts filters shows a 5mm smaller diameter,

Also, there are a lot of OEM numers to compare with, 15208-31U## sometimes matches with both filters.

I have a new Bosch F 026 407 001 in stock, it was supposed to be used on my Nissan Primera SR20DE (G20), this filter looks way too small to work on a V6 engine, but it should work.
