I'm too lazy to find linkage, but in all regards, there have been write-ups on national news in the US and even EUR. Puttin the HID conversions in halogen based enclosures (which is what the fogs are since they have no projector for cutoff) Is illegal.. reguardless of what 99% of those sites will tell you. You could however retrofit a projector into the fog housing and I'm sure you wouldn't get bothered or be bothering other people. I imagine that you could get away with HID-ing your fogs as long as you werent driving around with them all the time and causing accidents

Guessing you're referring to the last gen of Gs with the marker light, or city light whatever you may call it. Just get an LED replacement for the bulb in there, should be a profound difference.
