Question Removing interior bulbs

I'm trying to change the map bulbs and door lights but I cant pull them out. It there a way to twist or pull them out without breaking them? Do I use pliers or what???

thanks.

I think Railgunner (where is he these days??) said the best thing to use was a sturdy butter knife.

I can pop out the casing but I cant get the bulb out. Do I use something to pull or twist it out or just grab on with my fingers and pull?

i'm a little confused. do you need to get teh covers off the lights of the bulbs out? the bulbs just pull out. i used a really thin screwdriver to pop the covers off. the one's in the bottom of the door i though were easier once disconnected. make sure you put the covers back on properly

You say the light bulbs just pull out from the socket? I tried that but they seem really glued/stuck in there. I'll try again tonight then.

thanks.

once you pop the covers, you should be able to grab the bulb and pull it out with a little elbow grease. the 168s are in there pretty good.

my gf couldn't pull them out either, i had to do it all

yeah you just give them a good pull ... they come out. sometimes if you got big fingers you might need to rock them out. I use a cloth because those bulbs really heat up.

Try to get your finger down load on the bulb so your can use nails under the bulb to pull them out. Afterwards you can have your girlfriend put in your LEDS!

or you could disconnect the battery and not burn yourself

Use a small, long piece of cloth, place it over the bulb and pull it out by grabbing 2 ends of the string. I figure this is the easiest way.
