Blackberry Curve

Anyone successfully get the phonebook downloaded from a Curve with a G35x WITHOUT NAV? I can't find a way.

Can someone provide an update on this. I'm looking to buy the Curve in the next day or so and would like to know if it pairs fine with the G and also if the whole phonebook can be downloaded. Thanks.

I have successfully downloaded the address book from my T-Mobile BB 8320 Curve. No problems at all.

My phonebook transferred perfectly from my 8830. Go to Set Up Bluetooth -> MY-CAR -> Transfer Address Book. I assume it's the same for the curve.

Yeah the OS 4.2.x devices seem to work better... I've had problems with older devices (8700s and 8100s, and even 8800s), but the new ones -- 8300, 8830 and above all seem to support address book transfer.

We've been testing 8820s, 8320s, 8310s and the like but I haven't had a chance to test them in the car. My guess is that it's OS-specific and that 4.2.2.89 and above (that ships with the Curve) will work ok...

Sprint or Verizon? Our Verizon devices have 4.2.2.148.

Are you sure this works on a G withOUT nav? I dont see the add phonebook option in my non-nav G??

Are people really transfering their phonebooks with the non-nav G's? If so I would really appreciate knowing how!

thanks in advance
Rob

Oooh... non-nav? I don't know.

My guess is that the phone info -- settings, list of paired phones, address books, voice tags, etc -- all that might be stored in the hard drive that's used for the nav. Maybe you don't have that option for a non-nav car.

Learn something new every day...

I just picked up my 2007 G35x nav, tech a couple of days ago. I can pair my Rogers BB curve 8310 no problem but whenever I try to transfer my phonebook the phone disconnects immediatly and the curve indicates transfer incomplete. I then click cancel on the nav screen and the Curve immediately reconnects.

So the quick answer is NO. No I cannot transfer phonebook from my 8310 Rogers Curve to the bluetooth system.

Anybody with a Curve explain how they managed to get the transfer done without a problem?

Thanks

I just got an 8320 and transfered with no problems... I think the issue is timing it right. I did the same thing you did and it worked fine.
