Can I ask why you want to replace it? Is it due to a sour smell?
I ask because I have had an issue recently with the car really smelling terrible when first starting and I suspect it is due to a bad filter.

Thanks.

ya its the smell, mfgr suggests to replace the cabin filter every 15000 miles, on everything35.com you can buy the filter and do it your self, i took apart the glovebox and found it and can be replaced on our own, but its a hassle that i dont want to do... but you can take apart the glove box and it sits in a white filter box. the hardest part is to put the glove box back together.. thats y i dont want to do it again, i dont want to break anything i rather have the dealership do it and im sure there is an easier way to do so but i dont know how...

as far as the smell, run the a/c on fresh air more then recirculate

Actually, it's condesation left in the system when the car is shut off causing the mildew.
Changing the cabin filter will do little to resolve the problem.

About 5 minutes before getting to your destination, hit the A/C button, turning it off.
Allow the fan to continue to run, which will dry the system out so when the car is shut off, moisture is not left there to turn all nasty in the condensor coil.

Easy habit to start, and the horrible moldy A/C smell will never haunt you again.

I used to treat mildew by turning the car on AC and fresh, fan real low, and spraying a goodly amount of Lysol into the intake outside. Then turn off and let it sit overnight.

How long did it take you? And did you have to remove the whole assembly?

You remove the lower part of the glove box - entire operation should take no more than 30 min even if you're being REALLY careful.
