Unlock/Lock Rocker Switch Light

Hi all, I noticed the door lock rocker switch lights up on the driver's side door; however, the unlock icon does not light up. is this by design?

I think mine lights up.

I noticed this last night also. Only 1/2 of the switch is lighted.
