Is there a rear ratio difference between auto and manual G35's? Many car companies up the ratio an autos to get the 0-60 closer to the manual.

06 models were 3.36 for the autos and 3.59's for the 6mt. 07 models are 3.69 for both 6mt and auto.

Thanks for the response. I guess there is no easy swap then. Has there ever been a aftermarket offering? Say something in the 3.90-4.10 range.

i posted this up a while ago, apparently alot of ppl on this forum said it really wont make any difference at all except for kill my gas mileage.

I figured it would make a pretty noticible difference but apparently not.

You were correct you would definitely notice a performance improvement, but yes your gas mileage would suffer and some people have said their cruise control would no longer function after the gear set change.

I've been averaging about 25mpg, according to the computer. What would it go to, like 23.5? $500 is rather steep for some gears.
